COMPOSTING
Composting is the recycling of biodegradable waste into natural fertiliser - and anyone can compost!
You can divert around 30% of your household waste (such as vegetable and fruit peelings, tea bags, egg shells, garden prunings, cardboard, etc) into your compost bin and the resulting rich organic material can be put to good use in your garden.
Alternatively, if you are not keen to compost but want to recycle your food scraps, take a look at the Green Cone waste digester.
