HOME RECYCLING
By separating your household waste and recycling glass, tin, paper, plastic, etc - either to be collected by your local council or to be taken to your nearest recycle collection point, you are making a valuable difference to the mountain of rubbish rotting in UK landfill sites.
In England we recycled just 7% of our household waste in 1997. This has now almost quadrupled to 27% but sadly we are still a long way behind our European neighbours who recycle well over half of their waste.
Whether your local authority is a top UK recycling performer or not you can still make a difference.
Take a look through our straightforward ideas to separate, store, crush or re-use your waste:
KITCHEN RECYCING BINS - we've put together a great selection of kitchen bins to help you separate your general household waste from your recyclable materials or compostable waste. Includes Simplehuman and Halio bins.
RECYCLING STORAGE SOLUTIONS - a selection of stackable storage containers or attractive Camouflage products such as bottle bag or foldable boxes that will solve a multitude of storage problems for your recycling materials.
HELPFUL RECYCLING IDEAS - products to help you recycle such as the can crusher, logmaker, paper potter or kitchen compost caddy, along with a range of books with tips to help
promote a green, environmentally friendly home.
